I am a new AFL fan from Canada - this is my first season following the league and I have adopted the Gold Coast Suns as my team of choice. I don't know a lot about the sport but, I am intrigued by it. I love that it is distinctly Australian and the game is so much different from the popular sports here in Canada. I am a passionate ice hockey fan - the national sport of Canada - and I also love baseball. I enjoy basketball, Canadian football and the global game of football as well. I have seen AFL games in the past - the Grand Final is sometimes televised in Canada and I have always been drawn to it when it was. Other than showing the Grand Final, there is absolutely no coverage of the AFL in this country. Thanks to the internet, I am able to follow the sport and learn about the AFL. The game fascinates me and I want to learn more about it - this looks like a good place to do that. Thank you for welcoming a Canadian to your community.
